Extreme Things to do in Winter

If snowball fights, sledding, and building snowmen are no longer extreme enough things to do... join others in Provo city in building your own bobsled! BYU college students have come together in order to make their own bobsled and have attempted to ride it down the hills of Provo. Materials consist of wood or plastic and usually require some type of sheet metal for the bottom. Helmets are always highly suggested since this does count as an extreme sport. If you don't own any, you can try to buy some from Deseret Industries or rent them from Outdoors Unlimited. As seen in the video, the first time may not always be the most successful, but at least you will get the person that is video taping to laugh a lot.
So next time you think your life is boring and that you hate the snow, try something different... try something extreme. Grab some friends, some materials, and start to build you own bobsled and ride it down a hill! Who knows... You may even be as a good as these guys in their second video:

It looks like it is much easier to ride farther, the sooner that everyone is in the bobsled. The next time that your roommate says they are bored and asks for things to do that day... Suggest building a bobsled and see what they say! Remember to show these videos so that they will know that it is actually possible and will know what to expect.
I recently ran into the person that created this bobsled. He said that they ended up crashing and the bobsled was destroyed. So if you decide to get extreme and create one, you may want to remember that the helmets will definitely be required. Make sure that you start on smaller hills before you go big!
