Snow Shoeing

Snow Shoeing, things to do Tired of not being able to run because it's snowing outside or the roads are too slippery? Looking for things to do or places to go? Now you can get your exercise climbing mountains with tennis rackets strapped to your feet. Utah is covered with trails that can be hiked in the Winter. Whether you like short hikes up mountains in order to have a great view, or day hikes that will take you to hidden lakes in the mountains, snow shoes can help you get there.
If you or your roommates don't have snowshoes, no worries, Outdoors unlimited in the Wilk lets you rent them for a day. Instead of spending a few bucks to sit down and watch a movie, get out with your friends or take a date and hike a mountain in the winter! The view of the city, the lake, or the mountains is sure to make the hike worth it. But be careful, this may give you more of a work-out than running ever did! You will want to do your stretches before you leave unless you want to be sore the next day. This is definitely one of the best things to do in winter.
My roommates just hiked Y mountain. No, not just to the Y, but to the top of the mountain. They had to take snow shoes and strap in once the snow got too deep. They got to the top and said that the view was amazing. Other friends heard later about their trip and are going to hike the mountain as well. So if you can't find a place to hike yet, Y mountain is a great choice. They said it took about 2.5 hours to get up to the top!
